Well applied make-up is an asset; poorly applied it becomes a distraction. How long has it been since you have updated your look and your make-up?

Buying a garment that goes with nothing in your wardrobe. Throwing money at a bad purchase trying to make it better. Putting a trend item on layby.

Heel Care
Sorry girls, but there’s no point in painting your toe nails and donning a glamorous sandal if your heels are calloused and cracked. Forget the toes; attend to your heels first.
If your budget and time schedule allows the luxury of pedicures that’s great but if not there is nothing to stop you from having lovely feet. Exfoliate your heels everyday in or just out of the shower when the thick skin is softened. Scrubs however, rarely do the trick. Invest in a pumice stone, foot file or foot grater. Remove the calloused skin and then apply a generous amount of thick body cream. There are specialist products available that are even more effective. They actually do work but not in the tube; meaning they have to be applied daily. If you do it regularly it only takes a few seconds and the rewards are definitely worth it.
STYLE VS COMFORT.
Shoes possibly more than any other accessory, transform the character and appearance of an outfit. At the same time they can transform the mood of the wearer. A closed court pump with a heel 3.5 – 7.5cm is universally flattering and is appropriate in just about any context. They will always be a sensible purchase, especially in a core colour.
Many of us consider when it comes to footwear that style and comfort are mutually exclusive. However, that’s not true. Just because we need to wear shoes that allow us to stand for long periods or walk long distances, dshoe on the right however, flatters the foot enhancing the wearer’s appearance rather than detracting from it doesn’t’ mean that we have to don mules and slides that resemble bricks tied to our ankles. After all, it doesn’t matter how flash your outfit may be, if your shoes are not flattering your entire image is undermined.
In the comfort department both these shoes on the right score well but they don’t score equally in the style department. The first pair makes the ankle appear skinny and the foot appear large.
The Wide and/or high vamps as pictured here, are best worn under long pants. When worn with a skirt, a broad, bulky shoe makes a very full calf or thick ankle appear larger. Conversely, a slim ankle will appear skinny. This style of shoe broadens the foot, and shortens the leg. In addition, the wearer will seem heavier on the lower half of the body and they have a stereotypical association with the elderly. Anybody putting their hand up for that? The slide is very popular choice because they are so comfortable but they make a foot look wider and larger than it really is.
Today there are a myriad of great little flats available that are cute, elegant, stylish and comfortable. These shoes on the left would definitely pass the comfort test without looking like something bought from an orthopaedic catalogue!

Stylish women have a distinctive way of dressing that is virtually a visual signature. They have a personal formula for putting outfits together. What contributes to this formula? Many elements that include their occupation, interests, attitudes, philosophies, age and physical characteristics. Creating a style that is complementary rather than contradictory to our own physicality is an essential consideration.
One of the most common and popular personality styles in Australia is casual and relaxed. Many women are naturally drawn to this style. It sits comfortably with their lifestyle and is in harmony with their physical attributes. One of the pitfalls of this style is that it can be interpreted as careless and disinterested. It’s adherents are sometimes accused of putting comfort before all else. It doesn’t have to be nor should it be.
Let’s learn from someone who is a wonderful representative of this style by examining how she does it.
Jennifer Aniston is the quintessential ‘natural’ woman. Her golden colouring with its medium contrast combines with her lithe, athletic figure to provide the perfect attributes for a natural, relaxed style personality.

THE DISTINCTIVE FEATURE OF HER STYLE IS SIMPLICITY!
She rarely layers her garments, she wears only a few items and her accessories are minimal. She loves scarves. She imbues her outfits with a subtle sporty flavour. She favours narrow or slim clothes that may even be tight but she never reveals too much skin. She wears a lot of neutrals but often adds colour in a scarf or accessory. The effect she creates is effortless chic.
The key items in her wardrobe include:
A very common look that screams “Jennifer Aniston” is jeans, teamed with T shirt, boots, jacket and a scarf.
Jennifer underpins her casual, relaxed style with classic elegance!
We may or may not have Jennifer’s fabulous body to wear these exact items but if we are a little more generously proportioned we can swap the straight jeans for boot leg, or the fitted dresses for semi-fitted and the tight skirts for a subtle A-line.
